The Game

Nicholas Van Orton is a very wealthy San Francisco banker, whose life resembles the well-adjusted Swiss watch. His life is clear and monotonous; he is an absolute loner; there is darkness and emptiness in his sole. He witnessed his father committing suicide by leaping off their family home. Significantly, Nicholas’s father took his life on his 48th birthday, the same age as Nicholas is now.



On Nicholas’s 48th birthday, his younger brother Conrad presents him with an unusual gift, a card giving him entry to a game. The game is very expensive. Giving up to curiosity, Nicholas phones the game company and all kinds of weird things start to happen to him.
